How we’ve Made an Impact
“The real learning begins post-bnei mitzvah.”
-Amy Fine, alumni
“Hebrew High was one of my favorite parts of the week. It allowed me to connect with my Jewish friends who attended different schools, provided diverse perspectives on Jewish life, and instilled in me the importance of community. I continue to cherish those lessons and maintain lifelong friendships.
-Mor Aframian 2005 HH Alumni
“Such a special and important time designated to Jewish learning and community. I was one of the only Jews in my school, so Hebrew High connected me to my Judaism and fostered relationships with Jewish peers at the same time”
-Shayna Putterman, alumni
“Hebrew High has strengthened the friendships I have with my Jewish friends making me look forward to each Wednesday where we sit around the table eating and talking to one another.”
“To me Hebrew High means community, family and always having a place to call home away from home”
Lillie Auslander
Hebrew high has changed my perspective on being Jewish because I get to learn in a different environment with people who I am rarely surrounded with. Being with a variety of teens gives me the opportunity to dig deeper into my learning and relationship with myself without any kind of social pressure from friends, but also surrounded by like minded peers in a comfortable, supportive setting.
-Liza Simon
“HH has opened me to closer bonds with friends and allowed me to have a base connection that brings us closer together.” Reese Adler
“Hebrew High has really showed me that there isn't just one single way to be Jewish. Everybody is diverse and has their own ways of observing. There is really a lot that I've learned by being around other Jewish teens. HH allows me to see from different perspectives, and has definitely played a role in me discovering myself as a Jewish teen.”
